Management Team
Andrew Tudhope, CEO of Sub-One Technology. Andy is the founder and CEO of Sub-One Technology and a member of Sub-One's board of directors. Prior to Sub-One, he was founder and CEO of Tosoh TCM, the first contract manufacturer of high precision components established in a low-cost region. He was also founder and CEO of Semiconductor Equipment Technology (SET) – a supplier of products used in semiconductor manufacturing – which was sold to Tosoh Corporation. Previously, he worked in various equipment engineering management positions at VLSI Technology and Intel Corporation. He holds a degree in electrical engineering.
John Finegan, CFO. John has more than twenty-five years of senior financial and operational management experience for international technology companies and has successfully helped grow two early stage ventures to profitable $100+million businesses and successful IPOs. Most recently John was CFO for Shoretel, Inc. Prior to that he served as CFO for Actionpoint, Inc. and Cornerstone Imaging, and Vice President of Finance for Faraday Electronics and ECS Microsystems. John holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts and a B.S. in Engineering from Tufts University.
Dore Rosenblum, SVP Marketing and Business Development. Dore brings over 20 years of marketing and corporate development experience. Dore joined Sub-One from NeoScale Systems where he led global marketing efforts. Previously, he served as uRoam Corporation's Vice President of Marketing, where his contributions helped lead to its acquisition by F5 Networks. Before that, Dore served as director of marketing at 3Com Corporation and began his career at IBM. Dore holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and a B.A. in Math from the University of Virginia.
Deepak Upadhyaya, SVP Engineering. Deepak has more than 17 years of combined experience developing coating systems for the aerospace, semiconductor and oil and gas industries with a particular emphasis on interface engineering. Prior to Sub-One, Deepak managed worldwide field application support and demonstrations for laser processing technology at Ultratech. Prior to that, at Applied Materials and HMT Technology (now Western Digital), he developed new processes and resolved manufacturing process issues. Deepak has done research at the Defense Research Agency (UK), University of Surrey and Wright Peterson Air Force Base. He has authored or co-authored more than 25 papers and holds nine patents (pending/granted). Deepak holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science/Metallurgy from the University of Idaho and an MBA from San Jose State University.
William Boardman, CTO. Bill has more than 25 years of coating development experience in the semiconductor and Micro Electrical Mechanical Systems (MEMS) industry. He has led process development and process optimization programs for technology companies such as AMD, VLSI Technology and Ford Microelectronics. He holds eight granted patents (12 pending) and has published many articles related to coating technology. Bill holds a Master's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Colorado and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University.

C. Robert Bunch, Chairman of Sub-One Technology. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Global Tubing, LLC, a privately held company which manufactures and sells coiled tubing and related products and services to the energy industry. Previously, Mr. Bunch served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Maverick Tube Corporation (NYSE:MVK) until its acquisition by Tenaris, S.A. Prior to joining Maverick, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Input/Output, Inc. (NYSE:IO) and was associated with other large and small oil service companies. Mr. Bunch also serves on the board of directors of Olin Corporation (NYSE:OLN), Global Tubing, LLC and Z-Seis Corporation.
David Lam Chairman of the David Lam Group. Mr. Lam is founder and former CEO of Lam Research, which introduced the industry's first fully automated plasma etching system for semiconductor manufacturing, and established a market beachhead in Japan through a strategic partnership. Lam Research went public in 1984 and has since become a global leader in semiconductor capital equipment. In recent years, Mr. Lam has been active as an investor and advisor in high-tech start-ups.
Michael K. Lee, Co-founder and Managing Director of Dominion Ventures. Mr. Lee previously served as the Director of Operations for Equitec Financial Group where he was responsible for managing their venture portfolio. He has served on the board of several private and public companies and is currently an Investor/ Director of Relax the Back (RelaxtheBack.com), AdvancedMD (advancedmd.com), Quality Care Solutions, Inc. (QCSI.com), Active Networks, Nextpage (Nextpage.com), Sub-One, Inc (Sub-one.com) and Communispace.
Gerard Protti, Executive Advisor, Cenovus Energy, a leading integrated oil company.
Mr. Protti has been with EnCana (prior to the 12/09 split which created Cenovus Energy) and one of its predecessor companies Pan Canadian since 1995 with responsibilities including Marketing and Downstream Business Development, Operations and New Ventures. In his new role as Executive Advisor, he will provide Encana with advice on a range of environmental, regulatory and fiscal issues. He was the founding President of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP), and is currently Chairman of the Board. He was also Executive Director of the Independent Petroleum Association of Canada (IPAC). His experience includes assistant Deputy Minister with the Government of Alberta's Energy Department, and senior positions with the Alberta Treasury department and the Canadian Energy Research Institute. Mr. Protti has held many external non-profit positions including sitting on the Board of the University of Alberta and Chair of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in 2003/2004.
Russell Pullan, Director, New Energy & Clean Technology Ventures, Nomura International. Previously, Mr. Pullan was head of Venture Capital at The Carbon Trust. Originally trained as a scientist, he has twenty years of international experience as an entrepreneur, venture capitalist, board member and developer of technology and environment-related businesses. Mr. Pullan's early focus on investment in environmental technologies led him to be considered a pioneer in cleantech venture capital, which is undergoing rapid sector growth. He is a member of the CalSTRS Clean Technology Advisory Board, Young Presidents Organization and Britain's All-Party Parliamentary Environment Group.
